I write reproducible papers with solutions to real-world problems
Visiting PhD at Carnegie Mellon University's AirLab with Prof. Sebastian Scherer, and PhD at Polytechnic of Turin with Prof. Barbara Caputo. Previously worked at the Italian Institute of Technology and intern at Amazon.
I focus on visual place recognition and large-scale image retrieval, and have worked in representation learning, image matching, object detection, video action segmentation, large-scale classification, data collection and remote sensing.

03/2024: | EarthLoc is accepted at CVPR 2024! EarthLoc is now used by NASA to localize photos from the International Space Station. |

07/2023: | I gave an invited talk to the Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision group at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genova on the current state of scalable visual geolocalization. |

06/2022: | The RoboTo robotics team (for which I'm doing the computer vision / object detection part) achieved 5th place in the 1 vs 1 competition at the finals of the Robomaster University League in Seattle! |
